Ukraine’s ambassador to the UN Sergiy Kyslytsya referred to as the transfer by Russian President Vladimir Putin suicidal for placing his nuclear forces on alert.
“If he desires to kill himself he would not have to make use of a nuclear arsenal, he has to do what the man in Berlin did in a bunker in 1945,” he stated, referencing Adolf Hitler’s suicide in a Berlin bunker.
He made the feedback because the 193-member United Nations Basic Meeting started assembly on the disaster in Ukraine on Monday forward of a vote this week to isolate Russia by deploring its “aggression towards Ukraine” and demanding Russian troops cease combating and withdraw.
The Basic Meeting will vote this week on a draft decision just like a textual content vetoed by Russia within the 15-member Safety Council on Friday.
In the meantime, Russia’s UN Ambassador Vassily Nebenzia stated Russia’s actions in Ukraine are being “distorted and thwarted.”
“The Russian military doesn’t pose a risk to the civilians of Ukraine, shouldn’t be shelling civilian areas, and areas and cities the place Russian armed forces have taken management, and these areas are seeing residents dwelling their lives usually,” Nebenzia advised the Basic Meeting.
